Applications

Processes

Induction heating is used wherever precise, clean and energy-efficient heat is required. Below are the processes we engineer systems for every day.

Induction hardening

Heat treatment

Hardening

Surface and case hardening of shafts, gears, pins, cams and tools. Controllable depth, minimal distortion and excellent repeatability.

Induction forging

Hot working

Forging & Forming

Rapid heating of billets and bar ends for presses, hammers and upsetting machines. Lower scale and better energy use than gas.

Induction brazing

Joining

Brazing & Soldering

Localized, clean joints on copper, brass, stainless steel and carbide. Ideal for tools, heat exchangers and electrical parts.

Induction annealing

Softening

Annealing & Stress Relief

Tube, wire and component annealing with tight temperature control. Reduces residual stress without full furnace cycles.

Other induction applications

  • Shrink fitting of gears, bearings and motor housings
  • Pre-heating before welding
  • Melting of small batches of non-ferrous metals
  • Crystal growing and laboratory heating
  • Pipe and tube seam annealing
